The two of us met in the hospitality industry in Washington, DC in 1979. We have worked in various service jobs over the years. We finally decided to build a 3 bedroom – 3.5 bath lodge on our property that was specifically designed for short term rentals. We opened just before Covid hit but that did not dampen guests’ interest. This is a self-catering property but still includes a lot of perks. It is rented as a “whole house” as opposed to “by the room.” There is a fully equipped chef’s kitchen, a huge covered porch, furnished patio, and fire pit … with lots of firewood. As we say to our dogs … come, sit, and stay!
