Welcome to The Mews…an unforgettable and unique Bed & Breakfast located at the top of Short Hill Mountain overlooking the scenic town of Purcellville Virginia. We are less than one hour from Washington, D.C. and centrally located in the heart of Loudoun County wine country.
What makes us extraordinary? To begin, the home was built by an expert falconer hence the name The Mews, meaning “a place to keep raptors”. The English translation is “a quiet place”. Each suite has a unique identity…the Eagles Nest (available now), The Falcons Perch, and The Owls Nest (both available in 2014). We look forward to adding The Fox’s Den, a private cottage in 2015. The Owls Nest and the Fox’s Den will both be handicap accessible.
Privacy and relaxation is our primary objective for guests. You can stay at the house and enjoy the common areas including a library, kitchen, living and dining rooms and an expansive wrap-around deck. Or you can visit nearby attractions that include countless award winning wineries, antique stores, outlet shopping, restaurants, biking and hiking trails, farmers markets, and Virginia’s only private distillery located in downtown Purcellville.
